Lentivirus Vector는 HIV-1을 기반으로 하며 Herpes Virus의 VSVG 외피 단백질를 도입한 강력한 유전자 치료 벡터입니다. 이 벡터는 레트로바이러스(Retrovirus)로 작동하며, 바이러스의 독성 유전자(Virulence Gene)는 외래 표적 유전자(Exogenous Target Gene)로 대체되어 있습니다. Lentivirus Vector는 외래 유전자를 숙주 염색체(Host Chromosome)에 효율적으로 통합하여 장기간 안정적인 유전자 발현(Persistent Expression)을 가능하게 합니다.
또한 다양한 세포 감염 능력을 갖추고 있어 신경세포(Neurons), 간세포(Hepatocytes), 심근세포(Cardiomyocytes), 종양세포(Tumor Cells), 내피세포(Endothelial Cells), 줄기세포(Stem Cells)를 비롯한 다양한 세포 유형을 효과적으로 감염시키며, 우수한 유전자 전달(Gene Transduction) 효율을 제공합니다.
